What is a house and land package?

We've paired the perfect home design to the ideal block of land and then combined with an extensive range of inclusions to form a complete House and Land Package. All you need to do is choose the combination that’s right for you.

House and Land packages are ‘off the plan’ purchases, which means the house hasn’t yet been built. In most cases, you will also need to enter into two separate types of agreements – one to purchase the land, and the second to build the home.

Our house and land packages come complete with an extensive range of standard inclusions.

Steps to purchase:

Sales Phase

1. Prepare your finance

Discuss your budget and plans for building the home of your dreams with your bank or financier.

2. Choose your estate and land

Our sales team can help you select the perfect block of land to build on. If you’re looking to move in sooner, talk to us about our Ready Built homes.

3. Choose your Shavida home design

Our sales team will then take you through the Shavida design options
and inclusions from which you can shape your dream home.

You’ll be invited to select from a range of façade options and upgrades.

We will then prepare a new home estimate. Once you’re happy to proceed, you will be required to pay an initial $2,000 deposit that enables us to prepare your Home Building Agreement.

During this period, a soil test and contour survey will be undertaken, and your new house plan will be drawn and costed to reflect any variations.

4. Sign your Home Building Agreement

You’ll sign your Home Building Agreement and pay the balance of 5% of your deposit.

Your Customer Service Officer will contact you to introduce themselves. They’ll be your contact point throughout the build process and ensure you’re up to date and informed of all construction matters.

Pre-Construction Phase

5. Choose your colours, fixtures and fittings

We’ve simplified the process by offering a carefully curated range of options. Guided by our experienced team, you’ll have the chance to explore your options in our Colour Studio. This is when you’ll select your internal and external colour schemes.

Construction Phase

6. Construction of your new home commences

This is where your home will start to come to life.

Your Customer Service Officer will continue to be your main point of contact during this phase and will keep you regularly updated on your home’s progress.

You will also have the chance to meet your Building Supervisor at various stages as they will oversee and manage everything that happens on site during construction.

The construction process has five key stages:

  • Base
  • Frame
  • Lock-up
  • Fixing
  • Completion

You’ll also be required to make progress payments during this period.

7. Quality assurance checks

Our quality assurance program includes thorough checks at six stages throughout construction to ensure the highest quality fit and finish. Each stage involves an extensive list of items that are checked and approved to ensure the long-term performance of your home. These checks are performed by our Building Supervisor, alongside appliance and fixture suppliers.

Post-Construction Phase

8. Completion and handover

Your Building Supervisor will provide
a complete tour of your home and take you through all of the features. They’ll then hand over the keys, allowing you to begin living
the Shavida dream!

9. Referral programs

As a Shavida homeowner, you’re now eligible for exclusive rewards.

Recommend a friend or family member to Sekisui House and if they purchase a property, you’re both eligible for a $1,000 Visa gift card.

You could earn a 1% rebate on the price of your second property from Sekisui House or 1.5% on third and subsequent purchases.
